πŸ‘‰Fave ~nonspoiler~ scene

Ok, I just had to include this. I worked as a cardiac OR nurse then went to general trauma before becoming full time mommy and this scene sparked something in me, I don’t want to dig deeper so let’s just leave it here. πŸ˜† (Also, this font does not want to go black for some reason)

πŸ‘‰Review

Genre: Historical period, Horror ~ 6 episodes

Game of Thrones meets Walking Dead in Korean period drama. That’s a huge fan base right there. Of course I saw this on social media and heard about it long before I searched on Netflix as I didn’t think I was brave enough to watch this late at night by myself (my husband not a fan of foreign movies needing subtitles). Curiosity won out and can I say the hype is real. Amazing cinematography, skilled cast, superb plot and horrific zombies- I was at the edge of my seat and I could have finished this in one go but each episode felt like a movie all on its own.

History and horror are not my cup of tea at all (sidetrack- what happened with that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies??), but this would have been my top drama if not for the fact that it’s ongoing and as we all know, great endings are essential. Can’t wait for next season, and with the final GOT installment, I am most grateful for this epic Korean version.

πŸ‘€TIDBITS ❘ Discussions

  • Ju Ji-Hoon’s first leading role was also as Crown Prince in one of my fave dramas Princess Hours back in 2006 and… how did that drama end?? For some reason, I failed to watch the last few episodes. 😞
  •     Jun Suk-Ho provides some comedic relief here as he did in Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon. Does he have serious roles in other dramas? I would love to see that and hopefully keep a straight face.
